Weather
Let it snow!
January '08

The snow flies again and it's beginning to look like January. The temperature is still a bit above normal, which is in the upper 20's for Clinton, NY. We are still getting up into the mid to high thirties although we a back to dipping well below freezing at night. My old clients were right. Just about everybody coming in has or is getting over a cold. There is no substitute for experience!
On the technical side of things, I was hoping for a new digital camera from Santa, but he brought a heavy duty Milwaukee right angle drill instead. Can't do plumbing in an old house without it! So I decided to make use of what I have and use my old 35mm film camera and transfer the images to DVD and post them for you to enjoy. We'll see how rusty the old photography skill are

January Thaw
January '08
Looks like weather
patterns are back to what I remember as a boy. In
Washington DC we always had a January thaw where
the temperature would reach into the 60's and
sometimes into the 70's. Today on Keyes Brook Farm
in Deansboro we will be well into the 50's and are
supposed to top out in the 60's tomorrow.
After that, no doubt it will be back to below freezing until March. I wonder if this thaw allows the early snows to melt slowly and replenish groundwater.

It's not the heat...
August '07
..it's the humidity!
Well that's true for some people. People who have
spleen imbalances suffer more in the humidity.
Their ankles tend to swell, joints ache. Fire
imbalanced people are affected more by the heat and
profuse sweating. Today in Deansboro, Mother Nature
is trying to get a new personal best by topping her
93° record. So we are turning on our old fashioned
air conditioner - a ticket to the local movie
house. Seen any good movies lately?
